EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL 2022 | Great success of the volunteer application campaign

The organising committee of the Europa League Final Seville 2022 received around 3,800 applications of people willing to take part in the Volunteer Programme for this sports event. For this reason, the Volunteer Programme has been almost overwhelmed by the great number of applicants since the opening of the application form in January. A total of 500 volunteers will participate in this sports event that will take place in Seville on the next 18 May.

People everywhere around the world have applied for the Volunteer Programme. Citizens from 92 countries are willing to take part in the grand final, one of the most important matches of the season that will take place in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, in the city of Seville.

Over 2,200 applications have arrived from some point of Spain, from which 1,161 were made from the city of Seville, which shows how devoted the city is with regard to this event.

It is mostly the youth who are the most devoted in this selection process, although, as a curiosity, we must highlight an application made by a 75 years old volunteer who is willing to do his bit in the grand final organisation.

The almost 500 people who will participate in the grand final may carry out the following roles: Access Management, Accreditations, Anti-doping, Ceremonies, Event Logistics, Event Transport, Football Operations, Guest Management and Protocol, Hospitality Production, Legal Services, Live Events, Media Operations and Services, Mobility, Sponsorship Operations, Social Responsibility, Technical Services and Overlay, Ticketing and Volunteer Management.

Since the final will take place in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, both Sevilla FC and the city of Seville as hosts will keep collaborating with the organisation. In this competition, Sevilla FC has been crown champion six times since the first competition was made, which highlights the interrelationship between the Europa League and the Spanish club.
