RFEF presents the Spain-Sweden match that will be played in El Arcángel stadium, Córdoba

Pablo Lozano, Jorge Vilda and Ana Álvarez attended the presentation of the match that will open the preparation stage of the Spanish national team for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. It will take place on 7 October

Pablo Lozano, vice-president of RFEF and president of Andalucía, was in charge of the presentation of this match, which will open the preparation stage of the Spanish national team for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. He was accompanied by the director of women's football and Jorge Vilda, national coach, as well as Ana Álvarez, director of women's football at the RFEF.

Pablo Lozano conveyed a message of support from the president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, to the women's national team and thanked Córdoba fans for their warm welcome for this match. He also thanked Junta de Andalucía, its president and its minister "for their commitment to football for major events in Andalucía". Lozano assured that El Arcángel is "the kingdom of football in Córdoba", and this stadium and the support of Córdoba fans will help the national team to win against Sweden. "We want people from Córdoba to go and watch the women's national team as a family and support our national team". The vice-president of the RFEF highlighted that very popular prices have been established (8, 10 and 12 euros) with even discount promotions, so that El Arcángel will be a great celebration on 7 October.

Finally, Lozano praised the work of the national coach, Jorge Vilda, not only with this national team, but also with the lower categories of the national team. "Thanks to your work, it's being created a great base of women's football in Spain", he concluded.

Junta de Andalucía was also represented at the event, as this match is part of the collaboration agreement between Junta de Andalucía and the RFEF to organise 24 national team matches in Andalucía until 2025. Eduardo Lucena, territorial delegate of the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of Junta de Andalucía in Córdoba, restated this agreement with the Spanish Federation and the national team, assuring that "Junta de Andalucía will continue to support Andalucía as a sporting benchmark, and matches and events such as this one that we are now presenting demonstrate this".

The official presentation was also attended by Ana Blasco, Sports Delegate of the Provincial Council of Córdoba. She emphasised that "our national team is a benchmark that has broken many barriers in the fight against inequality". In the same vein, Manuel Torredonjimeno, President of Municipal Institute of Sports of Córdoba (IMDECO), expressed the satisfaction and pride that the Cordoba City Council has for being chosen for this important match by the RFEF and Junta de Córdoba
