2030 FIFA Football World Cup Bid Committee meeting in Madrid

The progress made and the spirit of collaboration during the work on the bid dossier have been highlighted.

This Friday, 9 February, the latest meeting of the Morocco-Portugal-Spain Joint Bid Committee for the 2030 Football World Cup was held in Madrid. The working meeting was attended by representatives from the Committees of the three candidate countries, as well as external consultants in different areas involved in the project.

Several issues related to the bid dossier were discussed in different aspects, highlighting positive developments and the spirit of collaboration between all parties present.

The Committee was satisfied with the progress made and the spirit of collaboration between all stakeholders.  No decisions have yet been taken on the number of stadiums, their territorial distribution or the matches to be hosted by each country. The work and technical evaluations of all sections of the bid dossier continue in accordance with FIFA's guidelines and requirements. Any further developments in these areas will be communicated through the Federation’s official media.

The next meeting of the Committee is scheduled for March in order to further advance the joint work and to propose a high quality bid dossier that meets FIFA's requirements and objectives in all aspects.
