Jordi Alba: "We need to be more united than ever before."

The captain of the national team shows confidence in the team's chances in the Nations League semifinal against Italy: "I'm convinced that things will go very well."

With the baggage and experience of someone who has brought many glorious nights to Spain, including the Euro 2012 final with a goal against Italy, Jordi Alba appeared at a press conference stating, "I'm very happy to be able to come back. I value being here a lot, and I'm eager to do well and help."

With the national team two matches away from winning a title, the Hospitalet-born player is "very excited because it's a unique opportunity. We need to be more united than ever before. I'm happy with everything I've done for the national team, and I'm not worried about reaching or not reaching a hundred matches, but about winning here."

The left back reviewed his extensive career with the national team, emphasizing that "winning titles is not the norm, but we were fortunate enough to do it, and now we are in a different stage with a manager we are all very happy with and who enjoys the trust of everyone."

In his role as captain of the team, Alba enjoys "advising the young players, but I also learn a lot from them. As for Italy, they are very different from a few years ago. They have taken a huge step forward offensively. We know we will have difficulties, but I'm convinced that we will do things well," he said hours before facing the Azzurri again.
