Montse Tomé aiming for success in Nations League final

The national team coach Montse Tomé and Jenni Hermoso faced the media ahead of this Wednesday 's Nations League final against France at the Estadio de La Cartuja.

In a packed press room, Montse Tomé and Jenni Hermoso agreed that Spain must be strong on the ball: "It's our identity".

The coach was delighted with her players and excited about tomorrow’s match: "It's a pleasure to work with them, they're always happy and willing to work hard. The weather has been good and we're all looking forward to it.

As for their final opponents, France, Montse Tomé said: "We know them very well and we respect them a lot. They have players with the ability to move the ball very quickly and we will have to be switched on at all moments.

Tomé added: "Qualifying for the Olympics was a goal we set ourselves back in September. It was a dream for all of us and we have already made it come true. Now we are concentrating on this final and we want to win it. We have worked hard to get here.

On the condition of her squad of players, the coach assured that "we have 25 players available and we will select the 23-player matchday squad after the last training session".

Finally, she confessed that "the players play to win and we prepare the team to win. We try to focus on 'how to win'. The team is ready and we're going to give everything we’ve got".

For her part, Jenni confessed that she feels "lucky to be able to play in another final, to continue enjoying football and to be able to compete to win another tournament with Spain. I hope tomorrow will be a great day for everyone".

Regarding the crowd at La Cartuja: "I think it's going to be a great game tomorrow against a great opponent and there's no greater motivation for people to come and cheer us on tomorrow than that".

Jenni Hermoso also stressed that "the team has always pulled together, we saw it at the World Cup and the other day with the qualification for the Olympic Games. We are lucky to be making a lot of history in a very short period of time".

Regarding the French national team, Jenni said that "tomorrow is the day to show that Spain are the best team in the world and we want to go out and win the title and, at last, beat France".
