Pedro Rocha appoints the new RFEF Board of Directors, with 40 percent female representation for the first time

Elections for the Assembly, Presidency and Delegate Commission for the period 2024-2028 will be called on September 10.

The president of the RFEF, Pedro Rocha, today appointed a new Board of Directors, which for the first time in history will have 40 percent female representation at the head of Spanish football. In total, there will be 20 people who will form this federal governing body, 8 women and 12 men.

Equality policies have been fundamental in this new stage for the RFEF. Now, a further step has been taken in this area to achieve true equality in football. On the new Board of Directors there will be an assistant vice-president, María Ángeles García Chaves.

The RFEF Board of Directors, at this first meeting, following the proposal from the President of the institution, approved the date September 10 for elections to be called for the General Assembly, Presidency and Delegate Commission for the period 2024-2028, starting on this date the new electoral process will commence.
