Pedro Rocha: "We couldn’t be prouder"

Pedro Rocha, president of the Management Committee, praises the great achievement of the national team.

RFEF president Pedro Rocha today congratulated the national team on reaching the Olympic Games and the final of the UEFA Women's Nations League at La Cartuja on Friday night.

"Our players have made history once again and we couldn't be prouder of the best national team in the world," said Rocha.

Women's football made its Olympic debut at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.  Twenty-eight years have passed and seven editions of the Games have been held since then.

For the first time in history, the national team will take part in this international sporting event, and they will do so as world champions.
