The children with autism VIP Box at La Cartuja, filled to capacity

The RFEF's initiative to involve children with autism in the national team matches had its most gratifying example in Spain's clash against Scotland.

The triumph of the Spanish national team against Scotland, bringing us closer to EURO 2024, had very special spectators at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville. Fifty families from all over Andalusia mobilized by the RFEF's Department of Equality, Social Responsibility, and Sustainability, in collaboration with Autismo España, followed the progress of the national team from the VIP Box 0 set up by the Federation in the stadium for children with autism.

During the match, the children and their families enjoyed a unique night from a privileged position that included a special relaxation room as well as noise-canceling headsets for their use. These facilities were already set up in the international match that the Spanish women's team played in Ibiza during the last season.

Earlier, the children accompanied the national team players in their entry onto the pitch and stood with them during the pre-match national anthem ceremony. Carvajal and Morata wanted to be part of this initiative and also wore noise-canceling headsets.

The RFEF's "VIP Boxes 0" initiative, also supported by UEFA, thus brings people with autism closer through the agreement signed by the Federation with Autismo España. This has already allowed the integration of the group into the dynamics of the RFEF. In this way, the national teams have individuals with autism, like Álex González, who serves as an equipment manager in various male categories.
