The Nations League champions honoured at Congress and Moncloa Palace

Sporting the trophy and their gold medals, the team was received by the President of the Government and the President of Congress

The UEFA Women's Nations League champions were honoured this Thursday in the Congress of Deputies, where they were received by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Francina Armengol, as well as by the Office of the lower house. They were also greeted by the leader of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijoo.

 

Afterwards, they travelled to the Moncloa Palace, where they were received by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sport, Pilar Alegría, and the Secretary of State for Sport, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes.

 

The Spanish team, winners of the inaugural UEFA Women's Nations League, have made Spain the first country ever to win the tournament at both the men's and women's levels.
