The RFEF invites the regional federations to join the campaign “Racistas, fuera del fútbol” (Racists, out of football)

Players, coaches and referees will symbolize with a gesture, before the start of each match, their rejection of racist and xenophobic attitudes.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation has formally invited this Tuesday the regional federations to join its campaign “Racistas, fuera del fútbol” (Racists, out of football), through circular 126. It states that all players, members of the technical staff and referees will symbolize, before the start of each match, their rejection of racist and xenophobic attitudes.

The gesture chosen is the "stop" sign, with an outstretched hand, replicating the image established by the RFEF for its campaign, which aims to eradicate racist and xenophobic attitudes from football fields, raising awareness among fans that insults or discriminatory attitudes for any reason are not tolerable.

In this way, the territorial federations will collaborate to extend this campaign, making its content reach all their affiliates and coordinating this action and any other that may be developed in all the official competitions of autonomous scope.

The symbol of campaign “Racistas, fuera del fútbol” (Racists, out of football), is composed of a circle of different colors, which wants to represent the diversity of our country, surrounding and protecting a hand that internationally symbolizes the fight against racism. The symbol, suitably adapted, may be used, in the future, to represent the joint commitment of all Spanish football in defense of equal treatment and non-discrimination for any reason.

The hashtag #RacistasFueraDelFútbol will be used in the RFEF's social networks and in those of the territorial federations, to group news and images related to this campaign.

In this way, the RFEF complies with its statutory guiding principle and objective of "ensuring that all types of actions are carried out with the aim of preventing, controlling and eradicating any kind of discrimination, violence, racism, xenophobia, intolerance, discrimination of any kind, especially those that may be based on sexual orientation". A work that, through this collaboration with the territorial federations, will thus reach every corner of our country.
