The streets of Seville are seeing the merging of Athletic Club and RCD Mallorca fans

Fans unite in tourism, entertainment and sportsmanship on the day of the Copa del Rey final.

 

Fans from cities almost 900 kilometres apart intermingled on Saturday 6 April in the magestic city of Seville, the setting for the final of the Copa del Rey.

Tens of thousands of Athletic Club and RCD Mallorca fans took to the streets and squares of the city of Seville early Saturday morning dressed in the colours of the finalists in the match that will decide the Cup champion on the green grass of La Cartuja.

The gathering of families, groups of friends, groups of fans from the north of the peninsula and supporters' clubs from the Balearic Islands brought extra life spring day in the Andalusian capital with bright colours and wide smiles.

The exchange of good wishes between the two sets of supporters is ever-present and even includes  fans turning up in good spirits at the areas of the city designated for the opposition: Athletic's located next to the Expo 92' avenue and Mallorca's in the heart of the Alamillo Park.

From eight o'clock in the evening, the party will move to La Cartuja stadium, with a musical spectacle that will bring together great artists in the run-up to the grand final. The ball is all set to start rolling on the pitch at ten o'clock in the evening.
