The visibility of autism: A social focus of the National Team match in Seville this Thursday

Children with autism will accompany the players onto the field; additionally, the RFEF will set up a box with noise-canceling headphones and a Relaxation Room.

The visibility of autism will be highlighted this upcoming Thursday at La Cartuja in Seville during the match between the national football teams of Spain and Scotland. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which has been working on showcasing various social causes during the matches it organizes, has chosen to spotlight individuals with autism on this occasion. Therefore, boys and girls with autism will act as player escorts as the players enter the pitch, and a "Palco 0 Autismo" (Autism Box 0) will be set up where families with autistic children can watch the match. The children will have noise-canceling headphones and access to a specific relaxation room.

The "Palco 0" initiative by the RFEF, also supported by UEFA, aims to bring individuals with autism closer through the agreement signed by the Federation with Autism Spain. This agreement, it is worth noting, has allowed the integration of the community into the RFEF's dynamics. The national teams have individuals with autism on staff, such as Alex González, who works as an equipment manager in various male categories. Additionally, La Cartuja's relaxation room continues the path initiated during the match played by the women's national team in Ibiza last spring.

Other initiatives during the match

In addition to raising awareness about autism, during the Spain-Scotland match, other actions that are becoming customary during national team matches will take place, reflecting RFEF's social commitment in different areas.

On one hand, visually impaired individuals will be able to enjoy the match, both in the stadium and at home, through the RFEF application offering "Narration for the Blind." This descriptive narration without comments or interruptions allows people with visual impairments to follow the matc.

Furthermore, as on other occasions, individuals with disabilities will volunteer and contribute to various organizational tasks for the match. In this case, members of the inclusive Andalusian team will be actively involved in diverse actions.
