OFFICIAL STATEMENT | The RFEF firmly supports all the measures taken by the UEFA Executive Committee

Following the extraordinary meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, in which Luis Rubiales was present as UEFA Vice President, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) fully supports UEFA and FIFA on their decision to suspend the participation of Russian clubs and National Teams in any UEFA or FIFA competition until further notice.

 

The RFEF considers that in this context it cannot have any football relationship with the FRU. Russian footballers and fans are not responsible for this, but football insitutions must act with determination and responsibility in a situation of this nature in order to ensure that sports values and its essence prevail around the world. This includes actions such as ending certain commercial  agreements

 

The RFEF offers its full support and solidarity to the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) and the people of Ukraine in these difficult times, and hopes for an inmediate solution of the conflict.
