Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, is convinced that Spain and Portugal will host the 2030 World Cup. Thus, he  confirms his unconditional support for a candidacy in which the organizers have been working on humbly for some time, so these countries can be the scene for the soccer's biggest event.

"I am sure that the 2030 World Cup will be played in Spain and Portugal, two countries that feel passionate about soccer," said Ceferin on Monday at the opening of the international congress "Football Talks", organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) held in the Cidade do Futebol, near Lisbon. "It's a winning initiative and we will do our best to help these soccer-loving countries which have a good infrastructure," said the UEFA president via videoconference.

Spain and Portugal go hand in hand in this ambitious project, which is the result of the excellent relations between both entities and the common desire of being the spotlight in summer 2030. Both countries are committed to achieving the goal and Spain already knows that there are 15 headquarters interested in participating in the event
According to the plan, the evaluation of these headquarters will take place in November to determine the eleven Spanish stadiums that will be chosen. Portugal would have three headquarters.
