Valladolid Gives Spain a Warm Welcome

At around 20:00 hours, following a coach journey from the Ciudad del Fútbol, Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad arrived at their team hotel in Valladolid, where on 14 October they will play the fourth match of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, a group in which Spain currently sit top.

The Valladolid fans gave the national team a heartfelt welcome, with the players responding to the supporters’ affection by signing autographs and taking photos. More than a hundred fans gathered to greet the team with applause and cheers, providing a perfect prelude to what promises to be a memorable evening against Bulgaria at the José Zorrilla Stadium. Spain return to this venue two years on, looking to take another decisive step towards securing qualification for the final phase of the intercontinental tournament.

Luis de la Fuente and Robin Le Normand appeared before the media in the official pre-match press conference.

This Tuesday at 20:45 (live on La 1, TVE), the two sides will meet for the seventh time in their history. The record so far: five victories for Spain and one draw.
