WE ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

Un tanto de fe, en la recta final del partido, corona al conjunto nacional a nivel mundial y lleva el oro a España

A last-gasp goal crowns the national team on the world stage and makes the Spanish national team champions.

The 21 internationals of the U17 team dreamed of this day when they set off on their journey to India. Under the photos of DY Patil Stadium, the World Championship final was about to kick off with Colombia and Spain as the main protagonists.

A final is never easy and this was reflected in the first half. Both teams played their game perfectly and they had their chances, with two shots from Cristina Librán from Kenio Gonzalo's team, but the match went into half-time scoreless.

The national team wanted to be crowned champions and they showed it right from the start of the second half. The referee disallowed Cristina Librán's first goal for handball.

It was not until the final stretch of the match that the Spanish got their reward. It was after a quick attack, Ana Guzmán scored an own goal which crowned Spain as world champions.
