The passion for the Spanish National Team will extend beyond the stadiums and into the streets in the coming weeks. One of the most iconic images of major international tournaments is the unity among supporters who travel thousands of kilometres to follow and cheer on the national team at every competition.

With this spirit in mind, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will transform Plaza de Colón in Madrid into the main gathering point for supporters of the national team. Under the name Plaza Selección, a spectacular fan zone will be created where fans will be able to watch Spain’s FIFA World Cup matches live and enjoy a unique collective experience centred around the tournament and the national team.

The venue will feature giant screens, the official store, and a trophy exhibition museum, as well as entertainment areas, live music, activities for all audiences, and a wide range of food and beverage options to enhance both the pre-match and post-match atmosphere. The objective is to turn every World Cup matchday into a true celebration of football and fan togetherness.

Entry to Plaza Selección will be free of charge and open to the public until full capacity is reached on matchdays.

THE ‘SPAIN HOUSE’, A KEY FEATURE OF THE WORLD CUP

The experience for football fans and supporters of the Spanish National Team will not be limited to Spain. The RFEF will establish strategic fan spaces in the cities where Luis de la Fuente’s side will play during the FIFA World Cup. During the group stage, the ‘Spain House’ will open in Atlanta, Georgia (United States), before later moving to Guadalajara (Mexico).

These spaces, open from two days before each match, are designed to bring together travelling supporters and create meeting points for celebration, support, and community for Spanish fans abroad.

The ‘Spain House’ will also serve as a showcase for the culture and identity of the Spanish National Team, strengthening the bond between the team and its supporters both inside and outside Spain during a tournament that will once again mobilise millions of people around football and promote the Spain brand wherever the national team competes during the FIFA World Cup.
