The countdown is over.

Spain completed their final preparations on Saturday ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final against Argentina. The showpiece will kick off on Sunday 19 July at 21:00 CEST (15:00 local time in New Jersey), with the world's newest champions set to be crowned.

The New York Red Bulls' training facilities had been scheduled to host Spain's final session before the final. However, in accordance with New Jersey's severe lightning safety protocol, on-pitch training was suspended. Instead, all 26 players—each available to head coach Luis de la Fuente—completed an activation session indoors.

Spain head into the biggest match of their recent history with a generation that has already proved it can compete at the highest level. This squad lifted the UEFA Nations League in 2023 before being crowned UEFA European champions in Germany just a year later, confirming the success of a project built on talent, ambition and a clearly defined footballing identity.

Those achievements are complemented by the Olympic gold medal won at Paris 2024 by five members of the current squad.

The journey that began 50 days ago at Spain's Football City now reaches its destination in New Jersey.

Ninety minutes—or however long it takes—separate La Roja from a second FIFA World Cup star.

The work has been done.

The dream lives on.
