Official statement | Leak of audiovisual material from the VAR reported to the Guardia Civil
The RFEF has filed a complaint with the Guardia Civil on Tuesday, while also continuing with its own internal investigation.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) filed a complaint with the Guardia Civil this Tuesday following the publication of audio recordings from the VAR system from the match between Real Madrid CF and UD Almeria in the Primera Division. These recordings are supposed to be entirely for professional use and totally private.
The RFEF, which is conducting an internal investigation into the incident, considers it an extremely serious matter that this audio-visual material has been leaked and hopes that a response will be found as soon as possible in order to determine culpability.
Furthermore, the necessary measures will be taken to guarantee the security of all communications henceforth.
