Two new debuts: Víctor Muñoz & Cristhian Mosquera

The Estadio de la Cerámica witnessed two special moments as Víctor Muñoz and Cristhian Mosquera made their official debuts for Spain, coming on in the second half of the friendly against Serbia.

Both players earned their first minutes in front of a lively crowd. Muñoz, representing CA Osasuna, came on for Mikel Oyarzabal — who had already scored twice — while Mosquera, now at Arsenal FC, replaced Pau Cubarsí.

For Muñoz, it became a dream night. Just nine minutes after stepping onto the pitch, the 22-year-old from Barcelona scored Spain’s third goal, marking his debut with a goal — the perfect introduction at international level.

Mosquera, meanwhile, showed composure and authority at the back, helping Spain keep a clean sheet during Serbia’s late attempts. The former Spain U21 captain also made his senior debut in his home region, adding an extra layer of meaning to the occasion.

With these two additions, the total number of debutants under De la Fuente since March 2023 now rises to 27 — a clear sign of renewal, competition, and the bright future of the national team.
