56 Teams in the Pots to Kick Off December in Style

The draw for the second round of the Copa del Rey Mapfre will take place on Tuesday, 11 November, starting at 13:00 (CET), and will be broadcast live on Teledeporte, Movistar Plus+, and RFEF channels.

Between Tuesday, 2 December, and Thursday, 4 December, the 56 teams that advanced to this stage of the Copa del Rey Mapfre will compete for a place in the Round of 32, where they could face one of the four participants in the Spanish Super CupFC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF, Club Atlético de Madrid, and Athletic Club — who will enter the competition in the next round.

The draw, held at the Ciudad del Fútbol and streamed live on Teledeporte, Movistar Plus+, and the RFEF’s official channels, will bring together clubs from all five tiers of Spanish football.

As in the previous round, geographical proximity will determine the pairings, with Spain divided into two groups: one representing the northern half and the other the southern half of the country.

The 28 single-leg ties will once again be hosted by the lower-division teams, with Ourense CF — recent winners of the Copa Federación and representing that competition in the Copa del Rey Mapfre — being the first club drawn. They will face a LaLiga (First Division) side from their corresponding geographical group.

Subsequently, teams from the Tercera Federación, Segunda Federación, and Primera Federación in each group will learn their opponents. In this round, a few Second Division clubs will face one another, with the order in which teams are drawn determining which side plays at home.

The draw will feature six pots, divided according to geographical area and competition tier, as follows:
