Back to Work with Cape Verde on the Horizon

Spain Return to Training at Baylor School with Four Days to Go Until Their FIFA World Cup Debut

On the day the FIFA World Cup 2026 officially gets underway—with Mexico taking on South Africa at the Estadio Azteca—the Spanish national team returned to training following their final warm-up victory over Peru in Puebla and the two days of rest enjoyed by the squad after returning to Chattanooga.

With the countdown continuing towards their tournament opener against Cape Verde, Spain took to the pitches at Baylor School to continue their preparations. Luis de la Fuente's players combined physical conditioning work with ball-based exercises as they fine-tune their form ahead of Monday's encounter against the Blue Sharks, scheduled for 18:00 local time (12:00 in Atlanta).

Following the session, several members of the squad will speak to the media in one-on-one interviews. In addition, Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pedro Porro will address the press at the team's Media Centre, where dozens of journalists are covering Spain's World Cup campaign.
