Back to work with focus on Bulgaria
The Spain national team returned to training on Pitch A at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, following last night’s 2–0 victory over Georgia at the Martínez Valero Stadium in Elche.
Prior to training, the players and coaching staff paid tribute to Ferran Torres for reaching 50 caps with the national team. Aitor Karanka, Technical Director of Development and the Senior National Team, presented him with a commemorative shirt, which the forward received to the warm applause of his teammates.
On Hispanic Day, Luis de la Fuente’s squad completed another training session, with the starting XI from the match against Georgia focusing on recovery exercises and treatments, while the rest of the players trained as usual.
Spain will return to training on Monday morning before travelling in the afternoon to Valladolid, the venue for the team’s fourth match in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, where they will face Bulgaria.
