Powerful, precise, decisive—long-range strikes, curled efforts to the far post or sharp finishes at the near—however the goal comes, it often bears Pina’s unmistakable stamp. At just 24, her scoring numbers suggest this is only the beginning. Off the pitch, she remains reserved; on it, she shows a strong personality and relentless drive to perform.

“I’m very happy. When I came back, I really wanted to do well. I’m playing with the best players in the world, and we help each other,” she said.

Among her many goals, a few stand out above the rest.

“The second goal in the Nations League final is very special—because of the stage, the run, and the finish. It’s one I’ll always remember. I also really liked my semi-final goal to the far post.”

Her numbers underline her impact. Pina recorded 11 goals in 17 matches in 2025—one of the best scoring returns in Spain history, second only to Esther González.

In football there may be no copyright, but Pina’s goals often feel like they carry her personal seal. Cutting in from the left onto her stronger right foot, she has perfected the art of finding the far corner.

“Being right-footed on the left, I tend to cut inside if I see space. I don’t think twice—I just strike for the far post. Goalkeepers are starting to anticipate it more, so I also try going to the near post, like in my last match.”

Whatever the method, Pina’s hunger for goals remains undiminished—especially against top opposition.

“England would be a great opponent. It would be nice to do it again. They’re a top-level side, and you always enjoy scoring in those matches.”

The forward from Moncada i Reixach netted four braces in 2025, with Belgium, England, Sweden and Germany all falling victim to her finishing—Germany notably in the Nations League final.

Behind each goal, there is often a personal dedication.

“It’s for someone special. I dedicate it to my sister by making an ‘L’ for Lucía. The last one was for my dad—I celebrated his birthday by blowing out candles.”

With 0.71 goals per game, Pina holds one of the best scoring ratios in the national team’s history. And her ambitions remain clear:

“Twelve goals next year would be good—improving on what I’ve done.”

Her defining moment came last December at the Metropolitano Stadium, where a brace helped Spain lift their second Nations League title—her first major honour with the national side.

“I couldn’t believe it. When the final whistle went, it was a dream—my first title after being away from the team for so long. It was completely special, a day I’ll never forget. Hopefully the first of many.”

A sentiment shared by fans and teammates alike—as long as the goals keep coming, always with the unmistakable trademark of Claudia Pina.
