Final Squad Announcement for the World Cup Qualifiers
The qualification campaign for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup is approaching its decisive stage. England and Iceland represent Spain’s final hurdles on the road to Brazil, and Sonia Bermúdez will officially announce the players selected for these crucial encounters on Thursday 28 May.
The squad list will be published at 11:30 CET on rfef.es and across the official channels of Sefutbol Femenina. One hour later, at 12:30 CET, the national team coach will address the media in a press conference, which will also be broadcast live through the same platforms.
Spain will host England at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix on 5 June (21:00 CET) before travelling to Iceland for their final qualifier on 9 June (21:00 CET). The two matches will determine the winners of a group currently led by the Lionesses.
With qualification firmly in their own hands, Spain now enter the final stretch of their journey towards the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The first step comes on Thursday 28 May, when the players entrusted with that challenge will be revealed.
