First Round of the 2025/26 Copa del Rey Mapfre Drawn

On Monday, October 6, the 112 clubs from six different divisions learned their fate in the first round of the Copa del Rey Mapfre, which this year celebrates its 122nd edition.

The draw, held in the Luis Aragonés Hall at the Ciudad del Fútbol, was presided over by RFEF President Rafael Louzán and conducted with the assistance of representatives from various clubs and organizations: Kity Mayoral (Inter Valdemoro), Juan Agüero (CE Atlètic Lleida), Alberto García (CD Ciudad de Lucena), Sergio Benavente (Mapfre), Pedro León (Real Murcia CF), Martín Pascual (CD Mirandés), and Isi Palazón (Rayo Vallecano).

For the first time, the single-leg ties—scheduled for October 28, 29, and 30—were arranged on the basis of:

  • Geographical proximity: four groups determined by regions of Spain.

  • Divisional structure: lower-tier clubs hosting higher-tier opponents.

 

As per competition rules, the four Spanish Super Cup participants (FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF, Atlético de Madrid, and Athletic Club) are exempt from this opening round.

The draw has produced 56 fixtures for the first round of the 2025/26 Copa del Rey Mapfre.
