Luis de la Fuente appeared before the media in the press room of De Kuip Stadium, "very happy" about the victory: "Happy for the players; happy for the coaching staff; and happy for Spain." "I hope this victory once again marks that spirit and pride of representing Spain," he emphasized.

He said that the victory against Croatia was well-deserved based on everything seen throughout the match, although, logically, achieving it through penalties adds "more epicness," as the Spanish coach stated.

Luis de la Fuente highlighted two names from the penalty shootout: Dani Carvajal, who scored the final penalty with great composure, and Unai Simón. "We have great goalkeepers, it is also important to enjoy that," he said. 

The coach also affirmed that these players "will continue to bring us many joys because they have a competitive spirit, they are winners, and they have won everything in all the categories they have been in." He stated this with certainty based on his "knowledge of these generations": "I was sure they would not fail us, and now we have to let them continue playing and give them confidence," he summarized.
