Last test before the World Cup

The Spanish national team plays against Jordan with the aim of giving some minutes to all players and getting a good feeling for Qatar.

Jordan is living with passion the match that takes place this Thursday in Amman, since their national team will play against Spain (17:00, La1). It is a historic event for this country, which watches a lot of football, especially Spanish football. They want its national team to make a leap in quality soon in order to qualify for the finals of a major tournament. The Amman International Stadium will be full because the tickets for the 17,000 seats have been sold.

Ranked 84th in the FIFA rankings, Jordan will be the las opponent for the Spanish national team before travelling to Doha to prepare for the World Cup's first match, which will be played on Wednesday 23rd against Costa Rica. For this match, Luis Enrique plans to distribute minutes among the internationals who are planned to play less minutes to be gathering pace. The coach, however, has already warned that his team will take the match in Amman with the seriousness it deserves and that it will be useful to draw important conclusions. In addition to just giving minutes to all players, he will test different aspects of the team's game in preparation for the World Cup.

The Spanish team has never played against Jordan, a new country to add to a long list. The Jordanians, ranked twelfth in the Asian rankings, are looking forward to the day with the same excitement that Luis Enrique's team for the challenge they will face. The coach has already highlighted the qualities of the Jordanian national team and the good results they have achieved over the last eighteen months. Luis Enrique ensures that this match will not be easy.

Doha is just around the corner, but first they have to leave Amman with a good feeling. Luis Enrique has already announced that Álvaro Morata, Marcos Llorente and Hugo Guillamón will not be included in the 23 called-up players as a precaution. José Luis Gayá, who is awaiting medical tests, will not play either.
