Nico Williams has withdrawn from the Spain squad. The Athletic Club forward reported discomfort in his left thigh following the match against Croatia in Seville. His condition was closely monitored throughout the day off, and as the discomfort persisted, he did not take part in Thursday’s training session.

Following medical tests carried out today by the Spanish Football Federation’s Medical Services, it was decided that he would leave the current national team camp and continue his recovery process.

Athletic Club’s medical staff have been kept fully informed of the player’s progress at all times. He will continue his treatment and recovery under the supervision of his club.
