The Spain national team squad has undergone a change following the withdrawal of FC Barcelona winger Salma Paralluelo, who was forced to leave the pitch at La Rosaleda Stadium during the first leg of the UEFA Women’s Nations League semifinals against Sweden. Medical tests have confirmed that she has sustained an injury to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in her left knee.

In her place, Sonia Bermúdez has called up Athenea del Castillo. The Real Madrid player will join the national team camp in Las Rozas on Saturday afternoon ahead of the second leg of the semifinals, which Spain will play on Tuesday, October 28, at 19:00, at Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg.
