On the day autumn officially began, despite temperatures showing little sign of the change in season, Spain took to Field A at Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas at around 11:00 (Spanish mainland time) for their second training session of the week.

This time, the stands were not packed with fans, as the session was held behind closed doors to allow Luis de la Fuente’s side to prepare for the first of the four matches awaiting them during this international window. England will be the first opponents standing in the way of the reigning world champions in the UEFA Nations League.

Alongside the 26 players selected by the Spain head coach, Luis de la Fuente also called up three Under-21 players for the session: Álex Valle, Fran González and Gonzalo García, who joined the senior internationals for the final part of the training session.

Roberto Fernández, the striker making his first appearance in the head coach’s squad, will speak to the media at the press conference scheduled for this Tuesday at Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
