Pedri and Lamine Yamal Included in the 2025 FIFPRO World 11

Pedri González and Lamine Yamal have been selected for the 2025 FIFPRO World 11 as the best midfielder and best forward of the year, respectively. This is the only football award decided exclusively by professional players. On this occasion, more than 26,000 players from 68 different countries cast their votes to choose the best eleven of 2025.

The voting period for this distinction covered players’ performances between 15 July 2024 and 3 August 2025, both dates inclusive.

Both Pedri and Lamine have enjoyed an outstanding season with their club, winning LaLiga, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Copa del Rey during this period. They also excelled with the Spanish national team, reaching the final of the UEFA Nations League and continuing to work towards qualification for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

As for Lamine Yamal, at only 18 years of age, he has become the youngest player ever to be selected for the FIFPRO World 11, surpassing Kylian Mbappé’s record from 2018, when the French forward made the team at 19. Moreover, Yamal received the highest number of votes among all eleven selected players.
