Plaza Selección: Where Dreams Begin
The 2026/27 competition calendars were unveiled on Tuesday at Plaza Selección in Madrid, the gathering place for Spain's supporters throughout the FIFA World Cup.
With scarcely any time to reflect on an exhilarating season, Spanish football officially turned its attention to 2026/27 on Tuesday as the calendars for the new campaign were unveiled. Thousands of fixtures, stretching from August to June, will once again map out a season of passion across every corner of the country.
Few moments generate more excitement than the beginning of a new campaign. With the fixture lists now confirmed, clubs can begin plotting their ambitions, even if football's greatest beauty lies in the fact that the destination remains impossible to predict.

The presentation took place at Plaza Selección, the fan hub in Madrid where Spain's supporters have gathered throughout the FIFA World Cup to cheer on the national team from afar and dream of a second world title. Against that backdrop, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) staged an event befitting the occasion, symbolically launching a new football season while Spain continues its World Cup journey.
RFEF President Rafael Louzán congratulated last season's champions while encouraging every club to pursue success in the campaign ahead.
"Although we are fully focused on the World Cup, football must already begin preparing for the 2026/27 season. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to producing these fixture lists."
He added:
"I wish every club the very best for the new season and extend a warm welcome to those who have earned promotion. Commiserations to those who have been relegated, but football always offers another opportunity to return."
The evening featured live performances by Delacueva and Sandra, from the band Ginebras, before José Raya, who has celebrated three promotions during his career, joined the stage to unveil the opening and closing rounds of the Liga Prime Futsal Apertura and Clausura tournaments.
The spotlight then turned to Patricia González Mota, affectionately known as "Peque", whose outstanding career and contribution to Spanish women's futsal were recognised before the opening and final matchdays of the Primera División Iberdrola Futsal were revealed.
Former goalkeeper Carmen Arce "Kubalita", one of the pioneers of Spanish women's football, then introduced the fixture list for the Primera Federación Iberdrola, while Javi Moyano, captain of Real Jaén CF, unveiled the calendars for both groups of the Primera Federación.
Representing CD Tenerife following the club's promotion, veteran midfielder Aitor Sanz presented the key dates for LALIGA HYPERMOTION, including the opening round, the specially designated Retro Matchday (Round 34) and the season finale.
As temperatures finally eased in Madrid, another musical performance from Delacueva preceded the unveiling of the flagship competitions. María Martí "Trueno", ambassador of Valencia CF, and Juan Funes, head coach of Málaga CF, revealed the headline fixtures for Liga F Moeve and LALIGA EA SPORTS.
