The countdown to the next edition of the Spanish Super Cup, set to take place in Saudi Arabia this coming January 2026, has provided an opportunity for a series of working meetings between the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and authorities from the host country.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, the president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán, led a federation delegation that held several meetings with public and sporting institutions in the country.

Among them was a meeting with the president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al Misehal, and the Kingdom’s Deputy Minister for Sports Events, Khalid Al-Muawad. The meeting was also attended by RFEF General Secretary Álvaro de Miguel, General Director Manuel Lalinde, and Director of International Relations Eduard Dervishaj.

These meetings aimed to further strengthen institutional and cooperative ties between both entities and to continue working together to enhance the quality and international profile of the Spanish Super Cup, now firmly established as the leading football event in the Middle East.
