Spain Return to the Football City After Opening Win Against England
The Spanish national team has already put its season opener against England behind it, along with the debut of the two stars on the chest. After an outstanding performance against the English side, the internationals returned to the Football City to get back to work and turn their attention to their next fixture.
Sunday afternoon's session began in the gym, where the players completed the scheduled physical work before heading out onto the pitch. Once on the field, the team went through a series of exercises with their next match firmly in mind.
The players who started against England had a lighter, lower-intensity session, aimed at facilitating their recovery after the demands of the match. The rest of the squad were able to work at a higher intensity.
The squad has also undergone a change, with Le Normand joining Luis de la Fuente's side following Eric García's withdrawal through injury.
With virtually no time to dwell on their opening match, Spain are already preparing for their next challenge. Croatia await on Tuesday at the Sánchez-Pizjuán in Seville, where the national team will look to build on the positive signs shown against Tuchel's side and claim another three points, putting themselves in a strong position in the UEFA Nations League.
