Spain has reclaimed the top spot in the FIFA Ranking, consolidating itself once more as a global reference point in the sport, with a style of football admired across the world.

The team, coached by Luis de la Fuente, is currently on a 27-match unbeaten run—the second-longest in its history—and has not lost an official fixture since 23 March 2023. During this period, Spain has been crowned European champion and runner-up in the UEFA Nations League, achievements that more than justify its return to the summit and reaffirm the strength of its sporting project and its globally recognized style of play.

Spain’s two most recent victories, combined with Argentina’s defeat to Ecuador, have raised its FIFA ranking to 1,875.37 points. Its closest challengers are France (1,870.92) and Argentina (1,870.32).

Nine months before the World Cup, Spain—the reigning European champion—reaps the rewards of its efforts since June 2014, as its name once again shines at the top of the FIFA Ranking.
