Since the FIFA World Cup held in Argentina in June 1978, Spain has consistently made it to every edition.

Thirteen consecutive tournaments—a near half-century without missing football’s biggest stage, which will next take place across North America.

Canada, the United States, and Mexico will host the 2026 World Cup, featuring 48 teams for the first time, with Spain among them thanks to their brilliant victory on Saturday in Tbilisi against Georgia.

With five wins and a draw in their qualifying group, Spain enters the World Cup undefeated, boasting impressive stats with 21 goals scored and only two conceded throughout this campaign.

Only Germany surpasses this record in Europe. Following their victory over Slovakia on Monday, the Germans secured their 19th consecutive World Cup qualification (since Brazil 1950).

Brazil, another nation already qualified for the next World Cup, remains the only country to have appeared in all 22 tournaments held since the inaugural edition 95 years ago in Uruguay.

The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., will host the draw for the 23rd FIFA World Cup finals on 5 December at 18:00 CET, featuring the 39 teams that have already confirmed their qualification.
