Spain’s women’s national team visited the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., where the entire delegation had the opportunity to discover one of the country’s most iconic landmarks up close. Home to the US Congress, the Capitol houses the legislative branch of the federal government.

During the visit, the players and the rest of the delegation explored some of the building’s most remarkable spaces on a guided tour that offered an insight into the history and institutions of the United States. It was a particularly special experience in a significant year for the country, as 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Spain continue their preparations for their two-match series against the United States. The Spanish side will face their American counterparts on 10 and 13 October, in Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania respectively, with both fixtures forming a key part of the team’s schedule during their stay in the United States.
