Just hours after their commanding display at La Cerámica, the Spain national football team returned to training at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas.
Around 20,500 fans packed the stands at Estadio de la Cerámica, witnessing another memorable night that further underlines the national team’s strong affinity with Villarreal CF’s home ground.
The players carried out recovery work, already turning their attention to the next fixture. The squad will train again on Sunday before travelling to Barcelona on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Egypt.
Spain will be playing their 20th match in the province of Barcelona — eight at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, five at Camp Nou, three at Estadi de Sarrià, two at Les Corts and one at the RCDE Stadium — with this set to be their second appearance at Espanyol’s current home.
Tickets are available for the Spain–Egypt match at the RCDE Stadium.
In this way, the national side continue their preparations for the FIFA World Cup, which will take place next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico, where Spain will aim to reach the summit once again — as they did at 2010 FIFA World Cup.
