Tbilisi marks the final stretch

Spain has now arrived in the Georgian capital to play their last away match of this qualifying phase.

Shortly after 00:20* local time, the Spanish national team reached its destination, Tbilisi, Georgia, after covering by air the more than 5,000 kilometres separating the two capitals.

In the country’s most populous city, Luis de la Fuente’s squad will remain for four days, facing the decisive match against the Georgian national team on Saturday the 15th: the penultimate fixture of the qualifying phase for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Spain firmly leads Group E

Before the match, head coach Luis de la Fuente and Martín Zubimendi are scheduled to appear before the media tomorrow, the 14th, starting at 18:15*. Later that same afternoon, the entire team will train on the pitch at the Boris Paichadze Stadium, the venue for the match, during UEFA’s official training session.
