The Argentine referee Fernando Rapallini will referee the Morocco-Spain round of 16 in the World Cup

The 44-year-old referee has already refereed the match of the African team against Croatia in this same final phase

Born on April 28, 1978 in the Buenos Aires town of La Plata, Fernando Andrés Rapallini will be in charge of directing the round of 16 match of the World Cup this Tuesday between Morocco and Spain.

The Argentinian referee lives his first experience in a World Cup, where he has already directed the match between the North African team and Croatia, corresponding to the first day of the group stage, as well as the tense duel between Serbia and Switzerland.

Rapallini will count as assistant referees with his fellow compatriots Juan Pablo Belatti and Diego Bonfa, with the Brazilian Raphael Claus acting as fourth official.

In the VOR room, the Argentine Mauro Vigliano will also intervene as VAR, the Chilean Julio Bascunan as his assistant, the Argentine Ezequiel Brailovsky as responsible for offsides and the Italian Paolo Valeri in support tasks.

Fernando Rapallini, who last year became the first South American referee to lead a match in the Euro Cup of Nations, will kick off the match between Morocco and Spain this coming Tuesday, December 6, starting at 4:00 p.m. Spanish.
