More than 100 media outlets, with 360 accredited journalists and media professionals from five continents, attended the Spanish national team's media day before the squad's final training session at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Continuing its commitment to openness and accessibility for the media, the national team held a session in which reporters, camera operators, technicians and photographers were able to gather first-hand impressions from the Spanish internationals on the eve of their historic World Cup semi-final against France.

The enormous level of media interest surrounding Spain has become truly global, as reflected by the huge turnout of journalists at every training session. The team's outstanding performances throughout the tournament have established them as one of the four remaining contenders for the World Cup title, which will be decided later this week at New York–New Jersey Stadium.

From the event in central Madrid where His Majesty King Felipe VI unveiled Spain's World Cup squad — dubbed "the squad of an entire nation" — to the team's frequent meetings with fans and the media across the United States and Mexico, the Spanish national team continues to attract growing interest and support both at home and abroad.

Wherever Spain has played during the tournament, the team has enjoyed overwhelming backing from supporters in the stands, while television audiences in Spain have reached extraordinary levels, with millions more following the team's success together in public squares and fan zones across the country.
