The RFEF, together with LALIGA and the football clubs, is committed to supporting the areas affected by the wildfires in Castilla y León and Galicia.

Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, SD Ponferradina, Zamora CF, and Ourense CF will present at the Ciudad del Fútbol the charity match to be held on September 24 at the Reino de León Stadium. The event aims to raise funds in solidarity and to pay tribute to the personnel who devoted their efforts to extinguishing the fires.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and LALIGA join in paying tribute and expressing recognition to all the individuals and institutions that have worked in the areas affected by the wildfires that have impacted various parts of the regions of Castilla y León and Galicia.

In this spirit, Spanish football supports the initiative of the clubs SD Ponferradina, Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, Zamora CF, and Ourense CF, which have organized a friendly football match with the dual purpose of raising funds for solidarity efforts and honoring the personnel who devoted their efforts to extinguishing the fires.

Football, for our land

The Ciudad del Fútbol will host the presentation of the charity match in an event to be held on Wednesday, September 17, at 13:00 at the Federation’s headquarters. In this way, Spanish football reaffirms its commitment to initiatives aimed at alleviating the consequences of the devastating wildfires that struck Spain during this summer.

The event will be open to the media and may also be followed live through the official RFEF channels.

The charity match, featuring the four participating clubs—Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, SD Ponferradina, Zamora CF, and Ourense CF—will take place at the Reino de León Stadium on September 24 at 20:00.
