Following the recent triumph in the Nations League, the National Team’s journey continues as it sets its sights on the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The road begins against Iceland and Ukraine.

Drawn in Group A3, Sonia Bermúdez’s side aims to secure a place to defend the world champion title won in Australia and New Zealand in 2023. The quest to add a second star above the crest begins in Castellón on Tuesday, March 3, against Iceland (19:00 CET) and continues in Antalya (Turkey) on Saturday, March 7, against Ukraine (18:00 CET).

In the coming days, Castellón will celebrate the Magdalena festivities, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest and lasting nine days. In the build-up, as excitement and anticipation fill the air, the National Team arrives in the city to bring football and passion to the celebrations.

Amid pilgrimages, mascletás, parades and the traditional cry of “Magdalena Vitol,” the streets of the Valencian city come alive — and they will begin to buzz even more with the arrival of the internationals, bringing their magic and talent. A team ready to shine brightly in a city already illuminated by the spirit of the Magdalena festival.

The Queen of the Castellón Festivities, Clara Sanz Sobrino, and the Children’s Queen, Ana Colón Sastriques, revealed the names of the players called up to light up Castellón.

Sonia Bermúdez will address the media from 12:30 CET in the Salón Villalonga. The press conference will be broadcast live on the official channels of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and on TVE 1.
