Wait’s over: we’re in Córdoba
Spain is officially in Córdoba. After a roughly two-hour train ride, the team rolled into Córdoba-Julio Anguita station just after 6pm, where dozens of fans were waiting to give them a proper warm welcome. From there, the players headed to their team hotel, where they’ll stay locked in until kick-off tomorrow at 16:00.
Sonia Bermúdez and Mariona Caldentey then made their way to the stadium for the official pre-match press conference ahead of Matchday 4 of World Cup qualifying.
The city has been all-in on the team even before their arrival, bringing the energy for the showdown with Ukraine as Spain pushes for that 2027 World Cup spot. There’ll be a Fan Zone for supporters, plus a half-time performance from Antonio José to keep the vibes high. When the national team comes to town, it’s not just football—it’s the full experience.
After the match, the squad will head to Seville to catch the Copa del Rey final live at La Cartuja between Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad.
