A celebration of one hundred years of Murcian football

The Enrique Roca stadium's entrance hall hosted the ceremonial exchange of commemorative gifts prior to the Spain-Denmark match.

This Saturday the Enrique Roca Stadium in Murcia hosted the traditional ceremonial act of exchange of commemorative objects for the official match of the Spanish national team. A Spain-Denmark match which, as well as being a celebration of football, served as a celebration for the centenary Football Federation of the Region of Murcia, whose work in this century was highlighted by all the invited institutions.

The vice-president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, María de los Ángeles García Chaves, was in charge of handing over, on behalf of the RFEF, the commemorative gifts to thank all the authorities of the region for their collaboration in making this match, which is an official group stage clash in the UEFA Nations League, possible.

Thus, the president of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras; the mayor of the capital of Murcia, José Francisco Ballesta; and the delegate of the central government in the region, Mariola Guevara, received a souvenir of this very special match. In reciprocity, the RFEF also received some works by local artists.

Similarly, the host club's welcome was also acknowledged, the vice-president of Real Murcia CF, Juan José Fernández, has participated in the event, receiving a commemorative gift that he expressed his thanks for with the presentation of a book that contains the chronicle of 100 years of football of the team.

Obviously, the FFRM will also exhibit in its showcases, from this very moment, the commemorative gift of this very special meeting for it, received by its president, José Miguel Monje, from the hands of García Chaves.

 

To complete the ceremony, a gift was presented to the president of the Danish Football Federation, Jesper Moller, who in turn offered the RFEF a Danish national team shirt signed by his players; and to the UEFA delegate for this match, Peter Lundström.

Cordiality and a good atmosphere were the protagonists of this brief ceremony and of the moments prior to the start of the match, which all these dignitaries  were able to enjoy from the Enrique Roca stadium executive box.
