A more sustainable and green final

The La Cartuja stadium hosted yesterday a more sustainable and green final of the Copa del Rey, after initiatives implemented by the RFEF that allowed it to measure the carbon footprint produced by the event.

From early afternoon, sustainability volunteers were at hand and helped to raise awareness among fans of the importance of recycling by placing commemorative match bags on the seats for their rubbish.

In addition, mobility surveys were carried out to calculate the impact of the match and, in this way, to be able to compensate for it, through projects at sea, which will be carried out in collaboration with the finalists.

Campaigns were also carried out to promote the use of public transport to access Seville and the stadium, and themed containers were placed around the stadium to support these sustainability policies, which will also allow the tarpaulins used in the final to be reused.
