A volcano of love to forget the eruption
On September 19, 2021, a sudden tremor accompanied by a lot of noise startled Carlos León's family lunch on the island of La Palma.
The volcanic eruption, which lasted for almost three months, took the homes and belongings of many of his friends and almost destroyed his own.
For weeks, the wave of solidarity displayed by the people of La Palma led Carlos and Viviana to participate as volunteers in the clean-up work, to take in a family and even to take care of Lola, the pet of some friends who soon took a liking to their son Pablo.
The little boy, a player in prebenjabines of CD, at Paso de La Palma, el club del volcán, has enjoyed with his parents the training session open to the public that the Spanish National Team has offered this week to its loyal fans.
Thus, Pablo was able to take pictures with their idols, get their autographs and receive all the love in the world with which to return to the island and be able to brighten, with his permanent smile, the lives of people who are still having a hard time because of an eruption to which Spanish football as a whole continues to respond with a volcano of solidarity for those most affected.
