Agreements and proposals of the presidents' meeting in Seville

The 2023-2027 aid program for football, women's football and futsal has been presented; and different agreements have been adopted and proposals have been launched regarding issues of interest.

This Saturday, on the occasion of the final of the Copa del Rey, a meeting of the Commission of Presidents of Autonomous Federations of the RFEF was held in Seville. Under the chairmanship of Luis Rubiales, the heads of the regional and autonomous federations have agreed on different issues and launched various proposals that must now be ratified at the next Delegate Commission.

What was agreed and proposed this Saturday involves, among other issues, guaranteeing the budgetary stability of the First, Second and Third Federation clubs, as well as a firm ratification of the RFEF's commitment to women's football. The new economic outlook for the First Division and Second Division Futsal clubs was also presented, with important new features. In addition, it was unanimously agreed to submit to the Delegate Commission the proposal that the Third Federation groups be made up of 18 teams each; and economic control measures were announced for the First Federation.

At the presidents' meeting, held in Seville, numerous agreements were reached to guarantee the viability of non-professional football, pending ratification at the next Delegate Commission.

 

The Elite program will be continued, subject to a greater level of professionalization of clubs and a greater commitment to U-23 players.

 

In the First Division and Second Division of men's futsal, the income of all clubs will increase by at least one and a half million euros.

 

The measure aims to promote sustainability and balance in the management of the teams. The Federation will implement this control in accordance with the new Sports Law.
