Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas and Olga Carmona in FIFPRO World 11 2024

FIFPRO has announced the best XI in the world and three Spanish players are in that prestigious line-up: Alexia Putellas (midfielder), Aitana Bonmatí (midfielder) and Olga Carmona (defender).

Footballers from 70 countries voted for the dream team of 2024, which covers their performances from 21 August 2023 to 10 August 2024 and the requisite is that they have played at least 20 official matches. In addition to their success with their clubs, the three players won the UEFA Nations League with Spain on 28 February 2023, in the first edition of the competition, and achieved a brilliant qualification for the next European Championships in the summer of 2025.

A trophy chosen by the players themselves and which is a representation of the number ‘1’, symbolising that each player is the best in his position. On their own website they state: ‘When the 11 trophies are put together, they form a bigger prize that represents the whole World 11, celebrating the power of the team’.
